An oft cited reason for not using Facebook for teaching is that students don't want their teachers seeing what they are up to. Do you agree? Is there a future for Facebook in teaching?
I think this applies to teachers as well. They are too concerned about their own privacy. Students and teachers can always have 2 or more accounts, a private one and another one for school.
One thing though is that it isn't only about FB as a tool but about "who" I can connect with on FB and the content I can create/share. A learning environment on FB will replicate other learning tools (e.g. moodle) user and content-wise. What would the added value be then?
